Be the Light Medical Missions is a faith-based, non-profit organization founded in 2019 by a group of friends, family, and healthcare workers who genuinely want to make a difference in people’s lives through free healthcare services. While serving together in one of the poorest regions in the Western Hemisphere, a spark was started in this group that will change the world in the name of Jesus Christ!
BLMM was born out of the idea that everyone deserves accessible medical care and other basic human necessities such as food, shelter, and love. Believing that even one person can make a ripple-effect difference, a group of Christian nurses, doctors, husbands, wives, children, and friends are striving together to make as many ripples as possible, helping to break the chains of poverty and showing the hope of Christ’s love to everyone they encounter.
With a foreign medical mission under their belts and a renewed fire in their spirits for helping the less fortunate, the volunteers of BLMM have big plans for healthcare in our local community and far beyond! Plans are in progress for a quarterly free clinic in one of the poorest regions in the Western Hemisphere, as well as fundraising to provide a van for free transportation to doctors appointments in our local area.
